Presence

The Choice (part of page 1)
This book has been written not to provide easy answers, but evolve processes for you to confirm your own conclusions. It will not provide additional building blocks for you to build, repair or maintain the walls of conceptual constructs or belief systems; but demonstrate processes for you to uncover your own tools to dismantle those walls, if you choose to do so. As your own dismantling work begins, sometimes one stone at a time, each stone removal allows light to penetrate into that darkened corridor to illuminate what is within. This illumination will also light up what those walls were constructed to protect, as what you will see and know is yourself exposed in all your nakedness. This can be confronting and simultaneously exhilarating. Everyone has his or her own unique potential and capacity, similar to an alarm clock that rings a wake up call when the potential is ripe. How loud it rings is your capacity.

Confirmation (part of page 5)
This book is not designed to convince you of anything that you cannot personally discover and experience yourself. How you use the information is your expression of those discoveries. Your personal discoveries may establish a conclusion in your life, but to confirm that conclusion requires more that just knowing it. You must know to the core of your being, creating a certainty and surety that is irrefutable.

The Snail and its Shell (part of page 17)
When you are aware, your observer and knower are as one. When an internal or external object is added, the knower appears to leave the observer and become the knower on its own: like a snail that leaves its shell to investigate, move or eat then returns home to its shell. The knower in similar fashion emerges from the observer to investigate, moving or digesting knowledge, then returns back into the observer. The snail and its shell are one but have different purposes. So too, the observer and knower is one: but have different purposes. The observer-knower is always one, but the coming and going of the knower can and does create a feeling of separation. When united the knower blends into the observer. You are aware, or know that you are both observing and knowing: or knowingly observant. This is awareness.

The Spotless Glass (part of page 34)
To see requires light. You are both the light and the mirror to see that light reflected in. This is awareness or the ability for you to see and know that you can see and know, and to see and know what you see and know is from what sees and knows.

This process looks like the empty, silent darkness of the void of internal infinity. Perceptively nothing exists and so appears like totally dark and transparent glass where everything is; but is utterly devoid of anything: it is pure pristine primordial awareness. From within the glass of pure pristine primordial awareness, itself draws together or concentrates the darkness of the void to form a backing to the glass to produce a mirror, for the light to see itself reflected by that mirror: and this is consciousness. Consciousness is both the light to see and the mirror to see itself. This is awareness, as you can see or witness yourself and know that you are also witnessing. The light is your knower, as it can know; the mirror is your observer, as it can see or it can see itself as the knower. The combination is your experiencer as consciousness.

The Gateless Gate (from page 93)
The experiential difference between the volitional thinker and volitional knower can never be intellectual known, as this is just not possible. There is an unseen barrier that has been beautifully described in Zen Buddhist literature as the gateless gate, which will prevent you from entering the volitional knower, as a volitional thinker. The volitional knower is the knower and free will, while the volitional thinker is the knower, free will and the intellect. The real issue develops, as the shadow-deception is also bound or integrated with the volitional thinker and they appear as one. This combination will attract the deceit to maintain it, or the deceit will close the borders of restrictive thought to prevent non-restriction from entering and so maintain the deception, keeping the gate closed.

The volitional thinker is now king of whatever it constructs, but it is a pretender king that has gained its authority by stealth and maintains it with deceit. The deceit in turn has taken over the kingdom and now the pretender king only rules as a figurehead.

The Twist (from page 96)
Biblically speaking, the bridge of duality is 'eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil'. This bridge of duality has many component parts, the two sides, why the two exist, their resolution, and the bridge itself. To gain an understanding of this bridge of duality, you catch a glimmer of the Mind that created mind, which is eating of that tree. From within the understanding of this bridge of duality, there arise some of the most revealing paradox's that simultaneously reveal and conceal. The revealing may be revelation, but what is revealed is revealed by remaining concealed. It's a surprise with a twist, and no one can unwrap that surprise, except you. The twist cannot be experientially given. It is knowingly realized, as you realize that there is nothing to realize; and that realization must be known and not realized, as it cannot be realized by knowing.

The Merry-go-round (from page 138)
The Substance of Absolute Consciousness can be thought of as a hologram, where each individual substance is a part of that hologram, as a holographic reflection of the whole. The Knower is personal as Presence, your personal knower is a reflected duplicate. The knower — like the eye — cannot see itself unless reflected. What the knower knows is what the observer sees, and what the observer-knower sees and knows, is itself reflected in the playground of physical manifestation. The knower also sees as understanding, which is the evolution of personality-consciousness. When the deception and deceit are present, it is that which the knower sees as itself, and controlled by.

The cause of some of the greatest philosophical and developmental errors evolutionary history is the inability to separate consciousness as self-referential observer-knower from the shadow-world of the deception and deceit; and to know the difference between a volitional thinker and a volitional knower. An individual created fascination with itself, as the deceptive volitional thinker and what it constructs by its thinking, perpetually keeps it separate from what it is attempting to understand or connect with. That created separation allows the deceit to maintain the deception by every form of seductive stimulation, leading nowhere but into more of the same. It is like riding a merry-go-round until you are to old to remain holding on, you just fall off and remain lying about until your body eventually perishes. As that event approaches you still have absolutely no idea what the ride was all about or even why you were on the ride, a diminution or veiling of your existence.

The Original Choice (part of page 289)
Trust or fear is the pivotal point that sends you in one direction or another, and each chosen direction contains or unfolds all other avenues within that direction. This is a definite choice or an unknown choice by acceptance that may not be recognized as a choice. The deception and deceit obscure the clarity of any decision, manipulating that decision in endless ways to provide any form of stimulation to maintain its life. When you clear away the obstruction smoke screen created by the deception/deceit shadow-world you are faced with a multiplicity of directions. By taking an overview perspective you will discover that all those directions are trust or fear-based or combinations of them both.

The known or unknown trust or fear decision will create your constructs that will direct and guide your life. But what is fear or trust in reference to? That referencing may also be known or unknown simply because you have not analyzed what everything is referenced to. It is this referencing that is the ground upon which you build you foundation constructs: your trust or fear. You always reference trust or fear to or from something, and the discovery of what that reference is clarifies your trust or fear, allowing you the option of altering that decision if necessary. When the deception/deceit shadow are cleared, your own self-referencing consciousness will provide its own referencing, as consciousness is constructed from The Good and accessed through trust.

The Rock and a Hard Place (page 348)
Everyone is born equal as observer-knower of consciousness, which is totally untouched and free of any impediment. Biological inheritance, environmental and social circumstances initially are determinative factors for how your endowed mind will evolve. This will create your differences, but at your base you are absolutely identical with everyone else.

How your evolved mind unfolds or develops determines if you remain stuck within the transitory world or establish that transitoryness upon a discovered base of permanence, altering how your evolved mind will continue to unfold or develop. If the transitory world is eventually recognized as transitory — but there is nothing that you can accept as permanence — you are most definitely between a rock and hard place.

Trust is Truth (part of page 384)
Trust cannot be stated as fear can be stated, as trust is fears opposite. Fear you can see but trust is invisible. It is this invisibility that prevents your grasping hold of trust to claim it as truth, for truth has no boundaries and cannot be held. Truth is the expression of your trust, and that truth may universal, but it cannot exceed the expression of your trust. If it does, that will create boundaries and boundaries will create something to hang on to, which can be expressed as truth. That truth can be in conflict with another's truth, which is then not truth, but only your truth, and that is the chameleon nature of the shadow/deception changing its color. Truth is the expression of your trust and cannot exceed that trust, which makes it invisible to all bar yourself, but its visibility can be witnessed in your actions, and recognized as truth riding on trust if fear cannot attach to it.

Pure trust is your evolved truth where fear in any form has no place to exist. The presentation of pure trust is trust in that trust, and it stops there, for any further addition will contain some form of hook that you can hook others with or they can hold on to.

The Intent (part of page 590)
This book was designed to support the internal investigation of existence. It is primarily based upon my own need to know and investigate that existence, as an experiential reality, and not just acceptance of constructs that contain many should and should not's; basically are all fear derived. The duality to that fear is trust, but initially there was not much to trust that was not also fear-based. The long road to the discovery of pure trust was the road to Presence, not an easy pathway. When arriving at that end, it is discovered Presence was there at the beginning, just not recognized as That. It is the experiential learning, knowing and acknowledging of Presence that quickness the unfolding of your existence, setting your course and keeping it straight.

The Return (part of page 592)
Presence is not hiding. It is only you that are hiding behind restrictive constructs and beliefs and when you eventfully remove that armor, you will discover all armor was false protection, actually separating you from that which you were seeking. It was all fear-based. When you remove the fear armor, trust will appear of it own accord. You need not simulate it into existence it has always been there, just patiently waiting for you to remove the fear. With trust, you enter the direct pathway to the discovery of Presence, and when that event occurs, the sheer overpowering simplicity of that experience shatters every conceivable doubt and construct to dust. What remains is what you have always been, consciousness as pure observer-knower, but now that consciousness is in total evolutionary alignment with Absolute Consciousness: the First Manifest as Presence and personal.
