Free Will 2 Free Will Two follows from the first essay in the articles page called Free Will One. Free will means the freedom to make choices without impinging upon anyone's autonomy, either overtly or covertly. Overtly may be obvious, but covertly can be a shadow driven agenda inflicted by the constructed intent of another. This constantly applies equally throughout civilization: between parents and children; husband and wife; religion and its followers; one culture to another culture; political leaders to its population and one country to other countries. The moment any one individual, in any manner, attempts to inflict their will upon another, problems begin, creating the potential to destroy relationships and countries alike. It is here, at this delicate position of individual evolution, where relationships and countries flourish or self-destruct. It all comes down to one pivotal point: how individual free will is supported or suppressed. It is also the same point where parents, religions and societies come face to face with restriction and non-restriction: the duality of existence. In a nutshell, how does a parent, religion or society support individual free will to accept moral or ethical responsibility for their own existence without creating restrictive borders, normally based upon fear? It is right here that it all ties together and evolves, or falls apart in endless personal and international construct wars. The problem faced by all parents, religions and societies is how to support peaceful, directional and progressive evolution of individuals and countries, without using fear to direct individual decisions. Why then not use fear? Because anything fear supported or directed will always, without exception, come right back in your face. And that can occur in ways that you may not even recognize as a causative agent for that event or events. How you respond with your children or partner is a reflection of what is occurring or will occur outside the home. And this reflection allows you to see the results of your own motivation, thoughts, actions or omissions. If ever you have uttered the words, 'how could this happen to me, them or use' that is a reflection. Whether you appreciate it or not, you are in some way a silent partner for that event or events. How to instill moral and ethical guidelines without fear as a driving force has been, and is, a dilemma for parents, religion and countries. Guidelines are important, for if there where no guidelines, freedom and liberty could with ease turn to license. Fear has always been the easiest and quickest way to instill or create a consequence for moral and ethical guidelines. But fear is restriction, while the essence of moral and ethical guidelines are non-restrictive. Restriction and non-restriction are opposing dualities and are not harmonious. One duality will ultimately dominate, indirectly suppressing the other. Free will becomes a victim, even if it appears liberated, as the duality is in control. Fear-driven restrictive guidelines create a prison for free will, while non-restrictive guidelines create license without consequences. With the use of sophisticated and eloquent phrasing, moral and ethical guidelines can be sculptured to fit into a fear consequence. This normally rests upon a belief, creating the appearance that there is no restriction. The sculpturing creates moral and ethical superiority, as the visible form for the new guidelines. This form of sculpturing is restriction upon non-restriction. The result may look pleasing and even inspiring. As well, sculptured control creates a sense of safety: but the safety is a false image. The created image, if sculptured from fear, is an artificial reflected image that only reflects what created it. The fear creating the false image is so well disguised that it takes the appearance of trust. It is pure and simply trickery, creating a self-satisfied sense of superiority, controlled by the controllers of the ruse. It is deception upon deception, and everyone ultimately loses. Freedom, controlled by fear of consequences without an experiential responsibility for that freedom, opens the door to the very thing the control is attempting to prevent. It is how moral and ethical guidelines are initially instilled in young children that will dictate how the following generation will live. If fear is dominate, then fear will control that generation, and by cultural osmosis pass it on to succeeding generations to repeat again and again with monotonous regularity. Each generation, in turn, continually asks the same question: why is this ceaseless destruction, abuse and terrorizing occurring? The answer is obvious, but few have the courage to take it on face to face as the base of the question is embedded in fear. And it is fear that controls individuals and society as a whole. The answer is trust. But what is there to trust beyond a construct or belief? Trust and fear is the evolutionary duality of humanity, and whichever duality is in dominance, will dictate how humanity evolves or stagnates. Take a look around, and you will witness which duality is dominate. You no longer need to question why all the destructive waste of humanity exists, as at the base you will always discover fear. And it is fear that will destroy in the guise of saving. Trust either is or is not: there is no in-between. What to trust becomes the focus, and here you enter constructs and belief engendering moral and and ethical guidelines. The moment anyone, under any circumstance, uses fear in any fashion, trust is circumvented but not dead. Fear can never create trust. No matter how hard individuals attempt to inflict restriction upon trust, it will fail. Fear-based guidelines only create an illusion of trust or false trust, which is a false idol, and the falseness will ultimately destroy the idol. To witness this takes no great effort, just look at any organization, religion or country that forces trust through fear and see the damage it creates in individuals and the cultural within a society. The fear and repression only looks good if you believe the construct that produced the result. Outside the construct the result is witnessed as monumentally destructive and stagnating. Such is the control of fear that from within the destructive construct or belief it is not seen as detrimental, but as a prescription or blueprint for living. All destructive events, individually and as a totality, are the shackles of fear becoming visible. Simplistic as that may appear that is what it distills down to. We may wail and moan at the results we witness in our families and in the world, but the results are of our own making, knowingly or not. In some fashion, if you use fear to cajole, subdue or control, you are an unwitting partner to those lamentable events. Trust can never released by fear. Trust stands on its own with no support necessary. The moment you place trust in opposition to fear, you no longer trust, but have chosen a duality that constantly requires support and maintenance. For trust to work its magic, it must absolutely stand on its own, with no support and not in opposition to anything. This is an honest and evolutionary trust, as it is not imposing your trust upon another. It is not impinging upon another's free will, allowing everyone to make his or her own choices: fear free. Pure and simple trust will attract trust to itself without any imposed structure for another to discover that trust. Pure trust will never inflict another with trust. Trust, honestly expressed, points at ones own trust through ones own motivation and actions, without defining that motivation or action as right or wrong. That form of honesty is trusting your own trust, which is faith. Trust is the foundation for faith, for without trust there is no faith. Trust creates faith, and fear in any form can never under any circumstances reveal that form of trust, for fear is trusts duality and is in opposition. The opposition creates disharmony or an artificial trust, and the artificially is easily toppled like a house built upon sand. False trust will not, nor cannot, create a pure faith. Attempting to create trust through fear has been tried for centuries and look at the result. As the past clearly demonstrates, trust can never be revealed through any form of fear. How is it possible to develop a pure trust that is not construct or belief forged or what is there to trust that is not a construct or belief? That question takes us back to the beginning of this little essay to free will. If anything impinges upon free will, trust becomes very difficult to locate. But if there are no guidelines, free will can create its own form of self-destruction by using that unrestricted freedom without responsibility for that freedom. Free will and trust are both totally unrestricted. Any restriction ultimately creates borders. The borders eventually impinge upon free will, creating the conditions to destroy pure trust. In turn the borders are ultimately destroyed by the restriction they have created. It's an endless recycling dilemma for constructs and beliefs. There is only one thing that is not a construct or belief that you can prove without any effort: your own existence. If you cannot locate free will and trust within your consciousness, then free will and trust will have no existence, no matter how many great and wise men and women tell you that it does exist. If you discover free will and trust within your consciousness formed by a construct or belief, you are living in a false shadow potentially encapsulating yourself in its own darkness. If you cannot discover trust (that is not self-constructed nor adopted from outside yourself), riding upon free will within your consciousness, you will be living within the transitory fluctuations of your environment with no sense of permanence. The transitory will perpetually test your resolve to live in that fashion, which is a good indicator that there is something seriously amiss. Pure trust cannot be given, induced or coerced into existence, either it is or is not: there is no in-between. Pure simple and honest trust, resting upon nothing other than itself, riding upon free will choice, rests and relies upon your own consciousness construction. Your own consciousness construction either has free will or it does not. If not, we would all be living within an animal reactive world of survival of the fittest. If yes, then choice enters to define that existence beyond animal reactive survival instinct. Here one enters pure trust that does not exist within a construct or belief. Pure trust is within your own consciousness construction. Within that construction the nature of Absolute Consciousness is impersonally embedded and you choose to make it personal or not. A yes choice releases the nature of Absolute Consciousness into the world to become visible, which is trust riding upon free will. You are then a responsible agent for your own freedom, containing no guidelines, constructs or beliefs. You have become a living expression of that which you are constructed out of, which is doing the will of greater will. This is trusting your own trust, which is faith. This form of pure faith rides upon free will, acting with moral and ethical purpose without even having any idea what those words mean or refer to. Or, that form of pure trust is borderless. As long as fear is at large, the symptom is continually diagnosed and evaluated. But the cause will be left to fester, reemerging in a variety of apparently new forms of causation. The reemergence takes whatever form the restrictive borders create. Those borders are forever on the move, widening or decreasing, adjusting the form to the restrictive alteration, and appearing as new or different from the previous form. But, it is still the same cause, simply in a new disguise. The disguise can be seen as history repeating itself, but again that is only the visual symptom. Just beneath the symptom the cause can be discovered continually festering and lying in wait to once again erupt into a new form. The repetition is slowly undermining the evolution of your consciousness and stagnating the progressive evolution of civilization. This recycling process creates the sepulcher of existence, that will only vanish with what created it, fear. The archenemy of fear is trust, as fear cannot live where trust is. Trust creates more of the same, which is your trust trusting trust. The original trust preexists within your consciousness, you simply release it, which is trusting your trust, and that is faith. It really is your choice. |
