Anorexia of the Mind

Anorexia of the Mind

Thinking is a combination of non-biological consciousness united with the intellect, one of your biological mind functions. The other brain or mind functions are memory, intuition and imagination. This combination creates a volitional thinker that creates, adopts or produces thought forms, which are trusted or believed and so owned. The ownership becomes the problem, as it supports the illusion that the volitional thinker did all the work on its own. Consciousness is not considered an equal partner in the production, creating the illusion that the volitional thinker is independent from consciousness and in control of its own production.

That illusion is the deception of existence, maintaining its position of control by belief in its own thought forms, which is deceitful as the ownership will ultimately control the controlling illusion. Or, the volitional thinker is the deception, maintained by the deceit of its belief in its own thought forms, which is a delusion. Your existence has been unknowingly narrowed down to an illusion controlled by a delusion. And then we wonder why bad things happen to good people.

The mind is a builder and destroyer, slowly moving along its evolutionary pathway one step at a time with its beliefs, constructs and internal patterns of living. If those pathways contain flexible borders of learning, everything gradually progresses. If those same pathways contain inflexible borders of learning the progression is halted at the border. And here enter border police, both internal and external, to police those borders. How the borders are used determines if individual evolution continually advances. Or, they establish the conditions for ongoing border wars, where humans become the disposable cannon fodder of a border. Humans disappear and the border remains to fight over and over again. If you have a difficulty appreciating what a border is, just think of them as a conclusion, label or tag.

Anorexia of the mind occurs when you feel or accept the borders of your learning are complete or full, even if they are being starved of life giving information. Like anorexia of the body this subtle control is believed, which is in reality control by the deceit of the controlling volitional thinker. You no longer require nourishment for the mind, as it is already overly fat with sufficient information. The deceit is that you believe it, which controls the controlling volitional thinker. Or an illusion is being controlled by a delusion.

Anorexia of the mind can destroy the body, and it all begins with a simple belief in borders that learning can create. This should put enormous pressure upon teachers in all disciplines to strive for creative means to teach without allowing the student to grasp and hold a border as real. But the reality is that borders are actually taught or presented as holds to grasp and hang on to. This myopic method of instruction, by stealth perpetuates the very destruction that advancing civilizations are attempting to avoid. It is like giving a teenager the keys to a high-powered vehicle and living in hope they will never go over the speed limit. What are the chances of that occurring?

Creating borders of learning, containing no nourishment to grow, establishes anorexia of the mind, exacerbating its own self-destruction. Borders of learning are a valid method of creating knowledge. But how they are taught is how they will be used. If they are presented in the hope that they will be used correctly, the presentation is missing one half of the instruction. The missing half is how those borders are used and why they are used in that fashion. Adding the missing half of the presentation allows learning borders to maintain flexibility and continue on their evolutionary pathway.

The intellect and memory live by borders. They are your two restrictive mind functions that require borders to exist. Your two remaining mind functions of intuition and imagination are unrestricted. They cannot, in any fashion, be restrained within borders of any description. Teachers of all disciplines normally use the intellect and memory to pass on knowledge, which is using, or being taught by restrictive mind functions. The unrestricted mind functions of intuition and imagination are totally ignored. But those two unrestricted mind functions are what keep the borders of your learning open and flexible, establishing equanimity in your life. It is equanimity of learning that will maintain peace and evolutionary direction in the world; and that equanimity will not attempt to subjugate another's borders of learning to your borders of learning.

And therein lies the problem, as the majority of borders of learning, like all borders, are fear contained. Fear is restrictive and resonates with restrictive borders. Attempting to replace borders of learning with new and updated borders of learning does not remove the restriction. It simply replaces old borders with new borders, reinitiating a new form of border fear. Border fear is rarely recognized as existent, but within every border you will discover fear assimilated within its structure, remaining dormant until the border is threatened in some fashion. The threat releases the dormant fear by defending its borders or attacking the borders of others. This is the deceit in action, supporting the illusion that the independent volitional thinker is real.

You may wonder why others may not trust your borders of learning. The simple answer is that it is not possible, as you are trying to impose trust riding upon fear. Fear and trust are a duality and cannot combine as one. If another accepts your border of learning it is just swapping one fear for a new fear, either freely or imposed. If you trust a border of learning that has been fear constructed, and they all are, you have established a belief that will control the one that accepted or created that border. This is the controlling volitional thinker being controlled by the deceit of the belief. It is a recycling game that will never end, until you can learn to step off that merry-go-round. And that is by bringing in the missing element that the volitional thinker has totally ignored, which is consciousness.

The mind is dominated by the restrictive mind functions of intellect and memory, creating and hanging on to borders of learning, advancing civilization by fear and not trust. Non-biological consciousness is borderless, and the volitional thinker guided by its restrictive constructs and beliefs rejects consciousness, as important but not comprehensible, as it has no borders to grasp and evaluate.

This is where biological mind intellectually meets non-biological consciousness. That interfacing immediately throws up problems, as the mind has borders of learning that are all fear based and restrictive, while consciousness has no borders, and so resonates with trust that is unrestricted. It is here where we are confronted with the reality of living. The mind creates restrictive borders of learning that do not resonate with the unrestricted permanency of consciousness. But that problem also reveals what the mind and consciousness accept. The volitional thinker controlling the mind accepts restriction, as it is intellect guided and so embraces restriction, normally fear based. Consciousness is totally unrestricted and so only accepts that which is unrestricted, which is all trust based information and actions.

The motivation for your actions is either fear or trust based. It is right here where your existence pivots between the transitory and the permanent. Your motivation will point in one or other direction. Pure trust motivation will always resonate with unrestricted consciousness, as both contain no borders. Fear based motivation, even if trust formed, does not. And that is the kicker, as all those correctly formed constructs, beliefs and patterns of living may all point in the correct direction, but if any one of them has any form of fear attached, the motivation for doing them is tainted with that restrictive fear. In other words the action can be correct, but the motivation for that action is incorrect, even if it appears correct. There is a fear/trust conflict, and the purity of motivation is lost within that duality. This may not appear as terribly important, and the mind will not even consider it as having any form of relevance, but pure consciousness does. Consciousness is your non-altering, formless, ageless and permanent reality that only accepts or recognizes correct unrestricted trust motivation. This trust-based motivation cannot have any form of fear associated with it. It then creates spirit-value that resonates with consciousness, directing its evolution, which eternalizes an already indestructible consciousness.

The integrity of a pure trust motivation will maintain its own direction. Alter the motivation to the borders of a belief, construct or pattern of living and you have allowed the deceit of fear to engage the border to defend it or use it to attack another. This new altered motivation is a self-created energy, as a belief upon the borders of a belief, construct or pattern, and is the cause of the problems in existence. Borders can always be used as learning tools, but the moment the border is believed it is also defended or used to attack. The choice of motivation, although appearing inconsequential, has far-reaching effects.

The self-created attracting and aligning energy of the volitional thinker is so powerful that it totally ignores the attracting and aligning energy within consciousness. The volitional thinker is created out of both your non-biological consciousness and your biological mind functions. But you feel that you are only responsive to the attracting and aligning self-created energy of the volitional thinker totally ignoring the subtler attracting and aligning energy of consciousness. The moment the self-created energy of the volitional thinker allows the more subtle attracting and aligning energies of consciousness to participate within decisions making, a more wholesome and fulfilling feeling will occur, as you are actually beginning to balance what you can see with what you cannot see. This is the beginning of transforming fear-based learning into trust that resonates with the pre-existent trust embedded within consciousness.

If you starve the mind of true nourishment it can self-destruct in the belief that you are acting with good intent and valid motivation. That is the delusion of the deceit, as it supports and maintains the illusion of a controlling volitional thinker. And the deceit, as it is a delusion controlling an illusion, can lead the volitional thinker into its own destruction by belief in its incorrect motivation. It is always a senseless waste of humans and resources.
