Non-aging Consciousness

One of the many issues that you will be confronted with, sometime within your existence, is a need for experiential proof of a spirit existence that is not material. Your life, like everyone else's, revolves around your physical existence in a material world. The material world is what you see, know and function within daily, with apparently little or no experiential appreciation of anything that could be referred to as a spirit reality.

There are a plethora of spiritual teachers throughout the world. These teachers can have an intellectual appreciation and/or experiential knowledge of a spirit reality, and share that knowing with anyone who will listen. The impact of what is shared totally depends upon the listener's ability to resonantly hear what is being presented. The hearing is normally intellect centered and resolved, but there is also a deeper subliminal hearing that is not. This hearing gleans the essence of the sharing. Intellectual appreciation is heard, controlled and manipulated by the intellect. Experiential knowing is heard and known through the intuition. When the presenter is using both intellectual appreciation and experiential knowing your entire non-dual being responds internally. In this later case, for presenter and listener, the great learning duality is resolved, as restriction (intellect) and non-restriction (intuition) create a sense of balance or a feeling of wholeness or completeness in what is said and what is heard.

When you are listening to one of the many and varied dissertations, explanations or presentations of a pure spirit reality, you are actually listening with the essence of your spirit presence. But one tends to forget this, as the intellect is kept busy processing, dissecting and categorizing the information that is being presented. When you stop processing and simply listen, your intellect is still potentially operative, but you have allowed space for the intuition to participate. Now you are listening with balance. The result of balanced listening can be remarkable, as the intellect is still free to process, but it also feels bypassed, as the intuition has equal listening power. Balanced listening feels complete, creating a sense of wholeness. When the presentation is finished — if you allow that balanced listening power to remain active — the intellect will not automatically take over to begin ripping things apart to find flaws. Flaws in this instance are anything that does not fit into ones pre-accepted or constructed knowledge, patterns, constructs or beliefs. The overriding effect of the presentation can be lost or minimized by focused intellectual processing without the balancing power of the intuition to recall that it felt right, even if it did not necessarily fit into how you think the universe operates. Allowing the intuition equal participation with the intellect allows non-restriction to flow within the borders of restriction, creating the potential for dynamic and amazing outcomes.

You listen with your hearing, but your hearing is not with your ears, it is with consciousness. Consciousness hears, and consciousness is ageless. It is also formless, genderless and colorless. If ever you require proof of your spirit reality, there it is. Simple, but easily overlooked in a world where you are incessantly doing and becoming something.

Consciousness does not age, ever. You may not appreciate this statement until one day you realize that you 'still feel young', which of course tells you that your body has aged. The still 'feeling young' is consciousness reminding you that no matter how old you are consciousness is ageless. You always feel the same age regardless of how old your body is. From your first day upon this planet to your last, consciousness remains perpetually constant: another indication of your spirit reality. Consciousness is the only constant you have, everything else is in continuous change. The material or physical is that constant change; it is in unceasing alteration, never remaining consistent. This is the world of the physical and it ages. The world of spirit on the other hand is ageless. It is complete in itself. Consciousness never alters; everything alters around or within it.

As you are reading this page, simply become aware that you are reading it. That is your pure awareness, and that is consciousness. From birth to death this awareness never alters. The awareness you feel yourself to now be is the same awareness it will be tomorrow, the next year and the year after. It will always feel the same. It never grows old, only your body does that. The physical ages, sprit reality (consciousness) does not. This is one of the fundamental differences between the physical world and the world of spirit. For those who cannot conceive of anything beyond the physical, non-aging and genderless consciousness is an ideal place to begin loosening the bonds of restrictive knowledge without destroying whatever security that knowledge internally constructed.

If you transpose this awareness to your last day upon this planet it will feel identical to how it does today. It simply not alter, as it is ageless, which is actual personal confirmation of your spirit existence. Those holding restrictive constructs or beliefs may have a trying time allowing that form of non-restriction into their lives. But the effort to understand creates a new, emerging, although very delicate, challenging pattern to restriction. And that alone can produce amazing results. Consciousness is your spirit reality; everything else will pass away. Your consciousness spirit reality cannot pass away, as it has no place to pass away to.

Where can formlessness go? Absolutely no where. It cannot, as it has no form to go anywhere, and of course cannot move. Non-moving consciousness is the core of your existence, and the silent essence of the totality of all existence. Entering that core, through your awareness, is a personal experience that touches, and so resonates with, the essence of all creation. The experience creates a permanent personal connection to everything and everyone existent. Experiencing the core of your non-moving existence can also reinitiate the 'shadow world', as the one that experienced filtered through old constructs, patterns and beliefs. The 'shadow world' can ultimately deprive you of the ongoing wisdom that that connection creates.

Individual consciousness never moves. What moves are all your mind functions that rise and fall upon demand — all within consciousness. But those functions are just the mind moving, not consciousness. Consciousness itself cannot move, but the form consciousness takes can and does. And the form consciousness takes depends upon the environment it is within, which includes both physical and non-physical forms.

If you are searching for a spirit reality, look no further than yourself, as you are it. For you are consciousness. It is a serene and readily knowable realization that consciousness does not age, pointing directly at your spirit reality. And that reality is indestructible. This form of knowing moves beyond constructs and beliefs. It is a personal experientially unrestricted knowing that you as consciousness are indestructible, removing all your anxieties, fears and doubts. Living takes on a new hue, as you have it all from the very beginning, and now you know it. How you use that knowing will eternalize your indestructible consciousness.

This may appear as conflicting terminology, but it is not. Consciousness is indestructible, but it takes effort to eternalize that which you are given. It always comes down to your choice, and that choice no one anywhere can coerce you to make, although many will try. The determinative factor for the eternalization of your indestructible consciousness rests squarely upon your free will choices to create recognizable spirit value from out of what you have been given. Recognizable spirit value is when you objectify your subjective knowing. If your knowing remains purely subjective there is no spirit-value trail to recognize. It is always a clear yes or no, as there is no in-between.

Consciousness is ageless, genderless, formless, colorless, non-moving and infinite. Simply work with this, and everything will become clear. Or, seek and it shall be given, as nothing is hidden — everything is open. The seeking simply removes your own self-created restriction, revealing what was always there, creating a personal confirming experience of your spirit reality. And that cannot be given by another, it must be personally experienced through your own effort. Paradoxically, you will never experience that confirmation without effort, but it is also the effort that is the final block to the confirmation. You begin with effort and when that effort runs its course it lets go of its own accord, it literally dissolves within itself, and there you discover what has always been present. The last shackles of restriction melt away revealing your unrestricted essence of consciousness, confirming your spirit existence. Life takes on new meaning that is experientially directional and eternally connected. And most importantly of all, on the way you discover a Personal Presence within as your own sense of presence. Its a surprise with a twist.
